SINISTER RULES AND REGULATIONS

Basic Rules

The aim of the game is for everyone to have a fun time playing City of Villains. With this in mind there are a few rules for everyone to abide by…

Play nice. Yes you're playing a villain, but that's no excuse for being rude to other players.

Have fun. This is a game. Don't take it too seriously! Debt happens!

Be polite to others. Badmouth the npc's all you like, but keep you comments to other players within the realms of good taste. Trash talking can be fun, but screaming abuse is not. The use of foul language intended to hurt another player is not allowed.

Have your fellow members backs. If someone needs help with a mission, try to help them. If you're helping them, don't pick up and leave. Consider that you wouldn't want them doing the same to you.

We do not condone racist, sexist, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable statements from our members, and anyone found guilty of such comments will be kicked and not readmitted.

Complaints. If you have complaints about the conduct or behaviour of any other VG member please contact a senior VG member in-game or via the forums.

Number of Characters

Currently there can be a maximum of 150 characters in SINISTER. This seems to be quite sufficient for our needs, and players may have several characters in the group. However, if you know you're not going to be playing a character much, or at all, please remove them from the group. We have an additional overflow supergroup, Southern Cross Syndicate which is connected via coalition, and you are welcome to put your less used alt characters there.

Inactivity

Because new people are always joining, we need to always have spaces available, which means kicking inactive characters. In general if your character is inactive for more than 60 days, you can expect that they will be kicked. For lower level characters, less than level 20, they may be kicked after 30 days. Kicked characters are always welcome to rejoin if they have become active again. If you know you will be away for a period (holidays, exams etc) please let us know, the forums are a good way.

When characters are kicked, the player will be sent global tells ( use /get_global_name <character name> to find the player) like this:

Hi <insert player name>, SINISTER is full again, and sadly <insert character name here> hasn't been played for a long time, so was removed from the supergroup.
Of course, you are always welcome to rejoin the SINISTER with any of your villains on the Justice server.
//To contact us, ask on global channel Australia, or check the website [http://sinister.wikidot.com/]//

and the character will be sent the following email.

Welcome back, from SINISTER

Hi <insert player name>, SINISTER is full again, and sadly <insert character name here> hasn't been played for a long time, so was removed from the supergroup. Now
that you have returned, you are welcome to rejoin SINISTER with any of your villains on the Justice server. To contact us, send a tell to @Lili or @Min Min, ask on
//global channel Australia, or check the website [http://sinister.wikidot.com/]//

SG Mode and Prestige

Bases are expensive to run and maintain! As such all villains L25 or less are asked to ensure you are in SG mode at all times. Note this has no effect on your own gaining of Infamy.

After level 25 using supergroup mode reduces infamy gain by up to 50%, so it is understandable if you don't want to use supergroup mode after that.

There is no SG 'uniform' requirement, so feel free to maintain your own colours and turn off the SG logo if so desired.
